Mahalaya Amavasya 2024
Mahalaya Amavasya, also known as Sarvapitr Amavasya, is an auspicious day to remember and pay gratitude to our ancestors. This year Mahalaya Amavasya is falling on the 2nd of Oct. At Adi Sankara Nilayam special rituals for the Sadgati of Pitrs will be made under the guidance of Swami Sharadananda Sarasvati. Tila homa shall be performed at the Chinmaya Swayambhu Ayyappa Temple.
The pujas will include the chanting of the three sections of Kathopanishad Chapter 1, followed by Gadadhara Gaya Vishnu Puja, Sarvapitr Tarpana and annadanam.You are welcome to offer different pujas and Rituals. The event will be LIVE streamed from 10 AM onwards through: chinfochannel / Live
